Who runs GAP?
The group is run by fully qualified leaders with
support from local volunteers. All staff hold full
CRB checks and are managed by a committee
of trustees, Basingstoke Voluntary Services, and
funded in partnership with Hampshire County
Council Youth Service, as well as being affiliated
with Mencap.
GAP meets on a Wednesday evening from
7pm to 9pm at the Junction 6 Youth Club
based on the school campus at Everest
Community Academy. Every session is
structured so that all the young people
involved get to socialise with others, learn
a new skill and participate in something
different. Everyone will get to work towards
a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award in a safe and
encouraging environment.
